special notes & prayer requests:
since it's back to school there are a lot of prayer requests for youth and children~
please be in the word and not lean on your own understanding as you guide the children towards Christ! if you are busy w/ school schedules, soccer, homework... don't forget about JESUS! i know the world is probably telling you there's no way you can get to outreach or start your own... but with Christ, all things are possible! Many of maddie and cece's friends were told that they need community service hours~ and this is at their public school~ so encourage your children to invite their friends and families to outreach~ right away, as they will need to get their hours done. Also, it's a good idea to have a discussion w/ your children's teachers and tell them that your family goes to the streets on thursdays~ tell them all about it and that homework may not be turned in on fridays~ it gives you a chance to start a conversation w/ your child's teachers~ so far the girls have had favor with this. Ask your teacher how their class may get involved... maybe gathering some 'hotel sized toiletries' or toys for mexico at Christmas time, or canned food drive that their friends can help give away on a thursday, or whatever you think! Also, please bring your jammies for the kids and even you~ raven shirts look just fine w/ flannel jammies on thursday nights~ we're all so busy and it's fun to just eat dinner early, serve the LORD, pray and jump into bed! Just some easy ways to get through this transition w/ soccer and school. Also, please continue to press into the LORD and seek first HIS righteousness~ the LORD has a way of expanding your territory... and 'school' friends may just be who you are supposed to be ministering too!!!!
