Miracles In Mexico Bobby Chance 12/20/05

Hey Everyone,
I know there is a famous movie shown each year during the Christmas holidays called, "Miracle On 34th Street!" That great movie is heart warming, but does not even compare with the real-life "Miracles In Mexico" our Streetwise Ministry team experienced this past weekend.
Maddie and CeeCee Gonzalea, ages 8 and 10, had collected over 1,500 toys for the children in Mexico for the Streetwise Ministry "Happy Birthday, Jesus" party. RAVEN Ministries had donated a 70 passenger school bus for the church in Mexico. We were ready to cross the border into Mexico and party for Jesus!
We had been promised that a prominent politician representing the mayor's office in Tijuana would meet us at the border and "guarantee" that the trailer full of new toys and the 70 passenger school bus (loaded down with clothes, toys and food) would be allowed to cross the border into Mexico with "no trouble at all."
Thursday afternoon we got the call... no "prominent politician," no mayor, no government official would be meeting us at the border. The officials told us we could only bring in 300 toys. We were to bring in 3 cars with 100 toys each in them and they would charge us $30. per 100 toys.
We were also told there was "no way" the donated bus would be allowed to cross the border into Mexico. Our team refused to take "NO" for an answer and decided eventhough no politician would meet us at the border, we knew that we knew that we knew The Holy Ghost would meet us at the border and there would be total victory in Jesus!!
God did not disappoint us and He did not allow His work to be thwarted. Our good friend, Brian Bennet, and his team prayed and trusted God as they headed toward the International crossing with a trailer full of 1,500 new toys. Through a close friend, Rick Lancaster, the Lord had given us a Word from Isaiah 45:1, "To open doors before him so that gates would not be shut!!"> Also, Isaiah 60:11, "Your gates will always stand open, they will NEVER be shut, day or night, so that men may bring you the wealth of the nations - their kings fled in triumphal procession."
