prayer of thanksgiving!

LORD~
We come before you this thanksgiving week and our hearts cry out to YOU
for all the blessings we have been made witness too and received this past year~
As we scroll through the thousands upon thousands of pictures
on our hard drive
to gently remind us of the faces and hands we have come to hold, pray for and remember~
we can not THANK YOU enough~
For opening our hearts and minds up to YOU
bringing us closer to YOU each day and allowing us
to be yoked with fellow believers in miracles~
has been an amazing journey.
The thousands upon thousands of pounds of food~
the thousands upon thousands toys delivered to mexico and across santa rosa~
the thousands of socks and beanines~
the hundreds of sleeping bags and blankets and toothbrushes...
oh but those are just things.
The idea we could be a part in praying for others and leading them closer to YOU~
not to RAVEN or "church" but YOU~
How good it is to know that when asked "who feeds you?"
just last week at outreach the people replied to a stranger,
"someone in a white truck just shows up and says the food is from JESUS!"
Forgive us that we have gotten in the way at times~
Help us to continue with what YOU have in your plan for us~
And expand our territory oh GOD that we may
bring glory and honor~ honor to your name, JESUS!
We give you thanks for our health, another day united in love and blessed by family and in joy with friends~
almighty GOD let your mercy reign!
