Hello everyone,
Thank you for your prayers and emails concerning the tragic murder in Mississippi of my nephew, Paul Ray Rice. Please forgive me for not responding to those who have emailed me personally. I promise I will soon.

Dot, the girls and I fly out of here in the morning about 7:am for Birmingham, Alabama and then drive to
Gadsden, Alabama where we will hold a memorial service for Paul Ray on Saturday.
Please pray for us. My sister, Melba, asked me to preach Paul Ray's funeral service. I always look forward to preaching the Gospel, but I will need God's grace under these circumstances.

I know for sure I will give an altar call and challenge the lost to get saved. No better time than when people are faced with life, death and eternity. I know Paul Ray would have wanted me to give a salvation call.
About 15 of my family members from California, Texas and Arizona will be there for the service, plus about 30 of Paul Ray's family from Gadsden.

The two men who murdered Paul Ray are being held on murder charges without bail. Pray for justice. Pray for His peace for my sister and family. We are all "leaning on the everlasting arms."

On a brighter note, our family will leave immediately following the service to fly back to California. Dot and I will hit Oakland about 10:30 at night and drive to Santa Rosa. We will be ministering just up the road in Windsor Sunday morning. We will be at Hope Chapel Windsor with our great friends, Pastor Mark and Starla Wilmarth. We will be ministering at their two Sunday morning services at 9:00 and 10:30.
