The Love of Christ

May the Love that was born in Bethlehem
Be gently reborn in the hearts of men
To bring us closer to each other
Nation to nation, brother to brother.

The Work of Christmas begins:
When the song of the angels is silent
When the star in the sky is gone
When the kings and princes have gone home
When the shepherds are, again, tending their sheep
When the manger is darkened and still
The work of Christmas begins...
To find the lost
To heal the broken
To feed the hungry
To rebuild the nations
To bring peace among people
To befriend the lonely
To release the heart of the prisoner
To make music in people's hearts
This Christmas, why not spread the gracious love we receive from Christ...by
mending a quarrel, seeking out a forgotten friend, sharing a kind,
encouraging word to someone, giving a soft answer, writing a love letter,
encourage a young person, apologize after offending someone (seek their
forgiveness), forgive those who have wronged you, be merciful, welcome a
stranger, gladden the heart of a child, be gentle and kind, generous in
spirit, appreciate and be grateful for little things, laugh a little more,
rejoice with those who rejoice and weep with those who weep, hug your loved
ones, visit someone in the hospital, or in prison, feed the hungry and
clothe the poor. BE Christ's love in flesh and bone in a lost, needy, and
broken world.

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whoever
believes in Him might not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16
Bless you all, Mark Shanklin
