Daily Devotional Day 7 Monday

Trust.
"Trust in the Lord with all th ine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths."
Proverbs 3:5-6
Trusting in God is resting in Him. He is infinitely trustworthy, and His promises to us can always be counted on. John Wesley wrote, "It is a little thing to trust God as far as we can see Him, so far as the way lies open before us; but to trust in Him when we are hedged in on every side and can see no way to escape, this is good and acceptable with God."
Paul wrote, "There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but wil with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it." 1 Cor. 10:13
God is faithful, and the full realization of this fact comes by way of faith. Faith in the promises of God's Word leads us to trust the great Promise-keeper who always wants only the best for us.
Our Father is always with us. The knowleldge of this truth wipes all fear away. Child-like trust is the deeper meaning of our faith. It is based on the promise given to us by the Psalmist: "I will fear no evil: for thou art with me." Psalm 23:4
Heavenly Father, I trust you with everything I am and have. I know that every promise of your Word is worthy of my trust. Thank you, Lord.
Because my heart is fixed, trusting in you, I will not be aftaid of any evil tidings. I want to grow in my ability to trust you, because I know that true joy and blessing come from trusting in you with all my heart.
You are so faithful to me, Lord. As I trust in you, I will continue in supplication and prayer both night and day. Grant that I will never place my trust in uncertain riches or in any other thing, except you, the living God, who richly gives me all things to enjoy.
As I learn to trust you, Father, I pray that you will help me to build other relationships in my life based on trust. All trust comes through Christ, and, as I turn toward you, I realize that I am not sufficient of myself in anything, but my sufficiency is of you, Lord, and I thank you that you have made me an able minister of your New Testament.
I trust you with all my heart, Father.
And everyone said, AMEN.
