Daily Devotional Day 6 Sunday

Strength.
That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man;
That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith.
Eph. 3:16-17
God's strength is always available to us, but we must avail ourselves of that strength through faith in the promises of God, such as this one: "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble." Psalm 46:1
Alfred, Lord Tennyson wrote, "My strength is as the strength of ten, because my heart is pure." The purity and righteousness that are imparted to us by grace through faith help to make us strong enough to face whatever may come our way.
True spiritual strength realizes that nothing can happen to us that God and we cannot take care of together.
"Thy God hath commanded thy strength." Psalm 68:28
"Blessed is the man whose strength is in thee." Psalm 84:5
"My strength is made perfect in weakness." 2 Cor. 12:9
Almighty God, thank you for commanding strength for me, Father. I realize, Lord, that all of my strength is in you. I rejoice in the certain knowledge that, through Christ who strengthens me, I can do all things. Thank you for your gift of wisdom which makes me strong, and the more knowledge I receive from your Word continues to increase my strength.
You, Lord, are my light and my salvation; therefore, I know I have nothing to fear. Indeed, you are the strength of my life, and because this is absolutely true, I have no one and nothing to be afraid of. Thank you for being my refuge and strength, Father. You are always a very present help in my life.
Strengthen me, Lord, according to the power of your Word. Help me to truly learn that strength will come to me as I quiet my heart and mind, for your Word assures me that in quietness and confidence I will gain your strength. You always give power to the faint, Father, and you increase strength in those who have no might.
Thank you for always empowering me with your strength, Lord.
And everyone said, AMEN.
