Daily Devotional Day 4 Friday

Love.
There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.
1 John 4:18
God is both light and love. Therefore, we should love one another. "Beloved, let uslove one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love." 1 John 4:7-8
Love is the most-excellent way. Faith expressing itself through love is the only thing that really counts in this life. "For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself." Gal. 5:14
Love is perfection itself, and perfect love casts out all fear. John 4:18
It is also the bond of perfection, as Paul points out: "And above all these things put on charity (love), which is the bond of perfectness." Col 3:14
It is the glue that holds us to God, and it is the glue that holds us to one another.
Love is the fulfilling of the law. Romasns 13:10.
All the Law is fulfilled by love. Samuel M. Shoemaker observed, "In the triangle of love between ourselves, God and other people, is found the secret of existence, and the best foretaste, I suspect, that we can have on earth of what heaven will probably be like."
Thank you Father, for commending your love toward me in that while I was yet a sinner, Christ died for me. Your amazing love for me was manifested when you sent your only begotten Son into the world so that I would be able to live through Him. This is true love, Lord, not that I loved you, but that you loved me first, and you sent your Son to be a sacrifice for my sins. Therefore, I will love others asyou have loved me.
I ask you Father, to let Christ dwelll in my heart by faith so that I will be rooted and grounded in your love. I want to be able to comprehend with all saints the height, depth, breadth, and length of your love. Help me to know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge so that I will be filled with all your fullness, Father. Fill me with your love.
Thank you for the certainty of faith that assures me that nothing shall ever separate me from your love which is in Christ Jesus, my Lord. I know that neither death nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor present things, nor future things will ever be able to separate me from your love.
And everyone said, AMEN.
