Tenderloin

Last week was my first time ever going to the Tenderloin. Before we left it seemed scary, from hearing the different stories about other times that the team had went. From the pictures I've seen of past trips, I had a different experience. As we were about to leave, I was praying and getting my heart prepared to go out, and preach the gospel. After ministering and praying for several people we continued to walk around, and there I saw Loretta. Loretta is probably in her 50's, or older...Sweet as can be... She can't walk...Sitting in a chair...Freezing...She said her daughter had dropped her off 4 days ago, and was sure that she was going to pick her up. (She said that her daughter is a preacher.....) She said that the only person that she can talk to is JESUS, and I told her to look to him in all things, because he will NEVER leave her. She began to weep as we prayed, and I'll continue to keep praying/ and believing in her healing that she will be able to walk again. Please pray for her. That's just one of the many people that we talked too... I can't even think about how much we take for granted, and how many people have nothing...From seeing Wanda with no shoes on her feet after just having surgery on her leg, and me having shoes on my feet and more in my closet...The Lord reminded me how blessed I am, and how blessed we all are... Go and PREACH the gospel. Don't back down...Teenagers- You're not too young, quit living for the world, and SURRENDER yourself... If God's your co-pilot...switch seats. Let him direct your life..
We plan to have another Tenderloin night soon, and I can't wait... Hope to see more people out there with us serving him... It's life changing.
Look to HIM in all things,
Maddie Gonzo <><
