SERVANTS OF GOD

"He riseth from supper, and laid aside his garments and took a towel and girded Himself. After that He poureth water into a bason, and began to wash the disciples. feet, and to wipe them with the towel wherewith He was girded. Then cometh He to Simon Peter and Peter saith unto Him, Lord, dost thou wash my feet? Jesus answered and said unto Him, What i do thou knowest not now, but thou shalt know hereafter. Peter saith unto Him, Thou shalt never wash my feet. Jesus answered him, If i wash thee not, thou hast no part of with me. Simon Peter saith unto Him, Lord, not my feet only, but also my hands and my head. Jesus saith to him, He that is washed needeth not save to wash his feet, but is clean every whit, and ye are clean, but not all." John 13:4-10

Jesus goes on to say that in so doing this for the disciples, we need to do it for each other. There are a few themes in this passage, but i am praying on servanthood. We are all servants of one God, we serve one Jesus. We are here for Him and whoever receives Jesus, receives God. We can have no part of Jesus with out serving. Of course Peter as usual rushed in where angels fear to tread. He ususally engaged his mouth too soon, but we learn from his mistakes. Praise God for Peter. Our place is serving Him, serving each other, washing each others feet. Serving each other. This chore of footwashing was usually relegated to the lowest of the low in households of Jesus day. Jesus got down and dirty to wash His disciples feet. This is the example He set for us. This is our awesome Jesus, our awesome God. This is our reasonable service, the least we can do for Him. God bless you. Amen.

Yesterday, Sunday, we hit the streets in the neighborhoods of Papago, Apple Valley, West Ninth and Roseland. We did a Trunk or Treat with candy out of the back of our cars. We had hundreds of pounds of candy and 7 or 8 cars. The faces on the kids were priceless and the joy we all shared was so heart warming. What love we share with these children of God, what a joy to serve them. They are our family. Amen.

After the outreach we gathered at the Gonzalez home and had a BBQ. Burgers and dogs and plenty of snacks. All the kids were running around and we were one family of God enjoying His love and blessings. It was great. God is so awesome and He causes my heart to fill to bursting. i can't help but love Him more than life and more than anything. My love for my RAVEN family near and far is a precious gift from Him and i am grateful. We honored some very special people last night with prayer and footwashing. God bless them and their families. May God fill them with His love and may grace abound. i love you guys. Before we left, Pastor Rudy laid out his plan for RAVEN West Coast for the upcoming year and we all were blessed and filled. "It is bigger than we think." Amen.

Ask your families to join you in fulfilling promises that no child should go hungry! C'mon, get busy!

TUESDAY: Pray! Go shop for some toys for TJ! Wednesday: PRAY!!!! What is it that God is telling you to do? Feed the hungry? Clothe the naked? Call your friends and families and get your churches involved in being doers outside the walls~ please consider going to Costco and purchasing rice, beans and ziploc quart sized bags, fill them up and bring to the Gonzo house on Thursday. Also, there is an extreme need for children's gently used clothing~ we gather with hundreds of children each Thursday night~ come rain, come shine, these babies need warm clothes! PRAYERS FOR NICHOLAS

Just got off the phone with Julianna. Urgent prayers are needed. Please kneel before the Lord and continue to pray for healing. Kidney extremely poor functions, doctors commenting that they may have missed something. Staff on stand by at UCSF for dialysis. Staff on stand by for another MRI. Nicolas is on high doses of morphine for pain and valium to keep him calm.

Heavenly Father, Lord of Lords, Light of my world, please let Your will be done. Father I pray for complete healing of little Nicolas. That You would blow your living breath into his body and remove all signs of disease. Father, I know that you are greater than any sickness, bigger than anything that we can imagine in our world. I pray that my faith is strong enough and big enough that you hear and answer. Father, keep Julianna held up with Your loving arms as she struggles with this. As she holds her baby, loving him, I ask that You hold, love, and comfort her.

Today, tonight, tomorrow, please guide the hands and minds of the doctors that are treating Nicolas. Give them like minds to You Father, that they are doing Your work. That their hearts are like Your heart, and that Nicolas is more to them than history. I pray in my precious Jesus name.

Speaking the truth in love and saving souls for Him.

We wil be going to San Francisco's Tenderloin district to be with and among the homless there. We will bring some food for the physical but more than that we will be bringing the food for their eternal souls. Every Word that proceeds from the mouth of God. Come to spread the Gospel message to the lost and dying, the hungry and thirsty, the naked and hurt. Come and share your Jesus with them.

Meet at Pastor Rudy and lori's at 5:30pm. We will pray and try to get out by 6pm. Wear RAVEN black, no red or blue. Dress in layers, it can be quite chilly there. Be prepared to carpool. God is good and bigger than our fears. Come with us.

Thank you that there was no spirit of fear in the dark in the "tough" neighborhoods~
That the HOLY SPIRIT was present when Pastor Nick preached the word that transcended Spanish/English~ it was just the HOLY SPIRIT~
Thank you for no wimpiness from the raven men~ humility, yes~ broken, yes~ but they claim who the LORD is and walk with the favor HE alone can give~

If we are to submit to Pastors and our husbands~ thank you JESUS for creating them, molding them, shaping them and through their obedience to you, transforming them into men who fear GOD and are worthy to submit too!
Raise up these teenagers to be used in a mighty way for your glory, JESUS!

God bless everyone. Family, Friends and Ravens near and far. Wherever you are, whatever you are doing, may God bless you with the desires of your heart. Amen.

Just home from Amarillo and still overflowing with God's abundant blessings. Still riding a Holy Ghost high, Amen. Staying close to the Lord, pondering His Word, praying for you all and loving it all. The desires of our hearts. What does it mean exactly? Well, in Psalm 37:3-4 the Word says: "Trust in the Lord and do good, so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed. Delight thyself also in the Lord and He shall give thee the desires of thine heart." WOW. God will give me the desires of my heart. How awesome is that, how awesome is our God. This is a huge saying of God and it overwhelms me. This is His Word and i stand on it, claim it, pray on it. Amen. He sent His only Son to die for us so we can have a relationship with Him for eternity. But not just after this life is over, right now. RIGHT NOW, in this very moment, here in this life God wants to bless us with the desires of our hearts. He loves us so much. How can we not delight in that, delight in Him and His love for us. My soul delights in Him and overflows with the love He pours in. When it overflows, it pours out and by His power, that Holy Ghost power, i do good. Amen. i take it to the street and i can with Holy boldness, grab each lapel that passes by and cry out, "Do you know that Jesus loves you? Do you really know?" i can fall to my knees and pray a brother or sister into the kingdom and i trust God to pour into them. Amen. That is awesome, that is our God, that delights my deep down soul. Amen. i trust Him, i trust Him in good times and bad, for all my needs, for all my days. i praise Him in all times, in all circumstances, i praise Him in drought and harvest, in Joyful times and adversity. Not thanking Him for the bad stuff, but praising Him for the work He will do through the adversity, Amen.

Delight in Him? Trust in Him? Do good for Him? How can we not? God is so good, so big, so omniscient, omnipresent, omnipotent, He sees past all obstacles to the blessings on the other side even when we do not. As we wait expectantly, doing our small part, being faithful, trusting, and doing good. Awe and wonder, Amen, allelujah and praise Him. The power of our God is beautiful to behold, each day, each hour, each moment. Thank you Jesus. i am overwhelmed.

i have something on my heart and i want to share it with my family. My family that i feel safe with and love with that agape love He pours out in us. The desire of my heart is to drive the RAVEN Jeep all around the nation serving the Lord with my RAVEN family. To hit it all for the Lord, RAVEN East-Coast, Mid-West, South-West, New Orleans, Texas, Florida, my homebase West-Coast and beyond. Mobile RAVEN Ministry, outreach to the world, one city at a time, park it at the coast and go. Amen. i can post blogs, pix and flicks as i go to keep you all up to date. God puts some incredible people in our way when we are in tune to Him. i am sure it would be a wild ride for Jesus. Amen.

This has been on my heart for a time and i have talked to Pastor Troy, Pastor Rudy, Lori and some of the West-Coast team. i am sure God knows where the provision will come from even as i write this, even if i do not. He is awesome. i am asking for prayer from you all and if God puts something on your heart for me, let me know. i am no stranger to the power of prayer. He works miracles and moves mountains. Good morning beloved! It's been way too long since we've blogged!
It's weird how much I miss talking to y'all.
Please pray with me this morning: Lord, I love you! I am so grateful to you JESUS. I thank you for gathering the ravens from all over the country and the opportunity to lift up YOU JESUS, together, for days. I ask for sleep for everyone and provision and renewal~ I ask for a shield of armor around each home that was represented in Texas this weekend~ those who are ravens and those who came to celebrate with us because it was such a HOLY SPIRIT filled weekend that I know the enemy is angry. I rebuke anything of this world or the work of the devil to take away what YOU did for me, for my husband, for my girls, for raven west coast~ for all the pastors and their families~ let us all fall to our face, be still and know that you are GOD, you're with us now wherever we find ourselves this morning. In JESUS name, AMEN.

RAVEN AMARILLO

Our God is a huge and awesome God. He is a God of goodness and love. While He wraps His love around the whole world, He still found us RAVEN's in Amarillo, Texas and wrapped us in His loving arms this last weekend. RAVEN Ministries International gathered last weekend to pray, worship, learn, fellowship and just plain love and support each other. It was a long drive out there, but i would not trade it for anything in the world, especially knowing what the world has to offer! You know how it is, expectant and exciting on the way but long and more subdued on the way home. Our trip back was a mission in itself. God had us in the right time and place to buy a fellow a tank of gas, then later we were right behind an accident where we were able to help out until the ambulance arrived. Pastor Rudy made sure the victim's heart was right with God while we prayed for him all the while. God is so good.

Yes i did say Pastor Rudy. Rudy Gonzalez was ordained this weekend along with four other mighty men of God and now the Director of RAVEN West Coast is Pastor Rudy!! Praise God. i am honored to call him my Pastor. God bless him as he walks with God in this higher responsibility. i am proud of him and i love him and will support him any way i can.

This weekend also confirmed the urgency of our mission to save as many souls as we can before Jesus returns for us all. There is not much time and the clock is tickin. We are strong and growing, we are comitted and steadfast. We will work hard to bring every soul we meet into the Kingdom of God. There is no time to waste.

.

i finally got to meet some very special people i have only written or talked to on the phone. i can only say that my heart is so full and i was so abundantly blessed this weekend that it was hard to leave. When you are with brothers and sisters in Christ, who are like minded and like souled, where you do not have to explain why you do what you do or why you are the way you are, it is a huge blessing. Each one of you is very dear to my heart and i love you all very much. The Holy Ghost was so present and the prayer changed people and God was lifted up in each moment. It was a powerful and holy time. God bless each and everyone who was there from oldest to youngest, to family and friends. We are all one body in Christ Jesus and we are all moving together to change the face of the world. Amen and Amen. God is so good.

Our last night we had a worship service and a message from Pastor Troy Bohn. We were at a church called Generation Next. A place with history. When people that love God so much get together, the Holy Ghost becomes so present that it reaches deep down into your soul and brings out your greatest joy. We worshipped, were filled up by the word and prayed for hours. What a holy time it was. i can't do it justice with words. Sorry, you had to be there...

The last thing i want to say is that there are people in this world, and i have met some of the best, that want to live for Jesus each and every second of their lives. EVERY SECOND. Praise God for that. These people are my family and they will be for all eternity. i love them very much and i will serve The Lord with them as long as i breathe on this earth. Join us, won't you? God bless you guys, keep on fighting the good fight and i know i will see you all soon. i love you.

Its so great that without the food people are still there waiting to hear the word (we knew all along it was never about the the food, but its all about the sharing Gods love.) thanks Nick for letting God use you in such a mighty way.

Hey Everyone~
When I was cleaning out my Dad's car this morning, the lady across the street was in my front yard. When I turned around I saw her, and she said, "I just wanted to thank you for the food that you hand out. My friend got a bag, and it lasted her up to 13 days!" I told her that it was all from Jesus, and that she's welcome. She asked me if we had a matress..... Her roommate is movng out, and she needs one for him or her. Anyone have a matress???? Off to Texas we go!

i wanted to touch base with everyone before departing for Texas about the next trip to San Francisco's Tenderloin. We are scheduled to go on Friday, 03 November. Marriage

Many people have asked why on earth do I have my wedding dress hanging in my room on display? Well, on this day 14 years ago, I got to wear it and walk down the aisle to marry Rudy! It was a big day for me~ for my family, for Anthony, Maddie and Cece~ and I thank God for answering prayer and allowing me to live beside a man who not only fears God, but serves God and loves his wife and family "bigger than the sky."

This morning while I was getting ready to go meet Rudy for lunch the VIEW was on tv~ it sickened me, their discussion was about marriage and how it is projected that in less than 20 years marriage in America will be obsolete. Statistics today showed that there are less married people in the US than unmarried people. Marriage has been deemed unimportant to the generation under mine~ nothing more than a legal statue to help with insurance, tax write offs, etc.

I urge all of you to stand firm for the sanctity of marriage, what it represents and not just politically but everyday stand firm with LOVE for your spouse!

Please pray with me: Dear Jesus, I thank you that YOU are the lover of our souls~ I thank you that you have given me the opportunity to love my husband~ thank you that you have given us a blessed sacrament known as marriage~ I ask Father God that you would protect what it is to be "married" in America~ that Satan would be rebuked from marriages~ that there would be a renewing of hearts and minds in this country about marriage! I ask for boldness to stand against divorce, lies, addictions, infidelity and all other tactics the enemy throws at marriages to break them up~ NO MORE will I allow these things to be glorified!

PRAYER FOR UNCLE DAVE

Please stand in prayer with me for my Uncle Dave. While we were in LA at Skid Row he had a problem with his heart while on a cruise. Keep Praying for Nicholas

Our God is wonderful and mysterious!

I ask that you continue to pray for Nicholas and Julianna. Your prayers are being heard!! Nicholas is holding his own. He is not out of the woods by any means, as a matter of face, he is really walking the fence. As of mid-day Sunday, his kidney count was holding, and the doctors are astounded. Julianna told the doctors it's the prayer from coast to coast that is holding him up.

The doctors are going to take him off one of the medications that are helping the kidneys to fight toxins, to see how the kidneys respond on their own.

It's a day-by-day, hour-by-hour, minute-by-minute. But the Lord is there at the hospital keeping us in awe!

I had a conversation with Julianna on Saturday, and we talked about the miracles that are surrounding this event. People coming together, forgiveness, friendships being made that you would never expect. Our God is a wonderful and mysterious God. I am in awe of Him everyday.

I praise Him, in all His Glory, and ask again for non-stop prayer. Nicholas is a very sick little boy, and every tiny miracle counts.

Thank you for all the support that has gone out to Julianna, especially that very powerful group of mothers that took time away from their families to be with a lost mother that needed them. That touched me,and I know it raised Julianna up also.

I love the way the Lord uses me, and I pray He continues to choose me always.

ROAD TRIP

The RAVEN West Coast team will be driving to Amarillo, Texas for the first annual RAVEN Ministries International Gathering on Evangelism. We will be meeting up with our brothers and sisters from all over the Nation for a time of prayer, worship, training, fellowship and ministry. We are every excited about this trip and how blessed we all are. We know this will be an awesome time for us and we are so thankful to God for the opportunity to go.

We will be leaving in the early afternoon of Wednesday the 18th of October. Our return drive will begin on Monday the 23rd of October. We also have a team flying. We are asking you to stand in prayer with us. Your prayers mean a lot to us and are so very important to us. We know how prayer can work miracles and that God hears every one. Please keep us in prayer until our return. We will be anxious to share with you our experiences there. God bless each one of you that has stood by us in our good time and our trials. We love each of you so much and appreciate you in our lives.

STAND

By now most of you know that RAVEN West Coast had a small "hiccup in our giddiup" on Thursday. It can seem so looming and large when it really is not. This Thursday was a day when we went out with only our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and His Word. We stood on His promises to us and to the world. We were able to pray with these hungry people of faith, share communion, and they prayed for us. With hearts that love the Lord and faith that can move mountains, they prayed for us. Amen. We were able to be together in the Word of God with nothing to distract or detract from it. We shared our love of Jesus together. We prayed for each other and we were the body of Christ in action together, holding each other up and encouraging each other. Was it hard? Yes. Was it sad? Yes, but it was joyful as well. Are we broken? No. When there is nothing else you can do, then you STAND. You STAND on The Rock of salvation, on Jesus and His word. You STAND. Against satan and all his trickery and subtle games, against the demons he sends to throw that monkey wrench in the works. You STAND. Amen. Satan hates that. Too bad for him. We will never give up no matter how hard the road gets, no matter what is thrown our way, we will STAND. We are His for eternity and He is ours. We love Him above all else and we know He loves us more than we can ever love Him. What else do we need? Nothing. We STAND on Him and we pray continously. Amen. God bless you all, we love you. Preach it Mother Teresa!!!!

"Of my free will, dear JESUS, I shall follow YOU wherever YOU shall go in search of souls, at any cost to myself and out of pure love of YOU." She told a group of young sisters that she does not need "numbers." If any of them is not willing to offer her free and wholehearted service to the poorest of the poor with love and joy~~ with the lepers, the old and lonely, the little ones, the AIDS patients~~ and others, then it's time to pack up their bags and go home. No need to stay.

You know, sometimes it's that simple. To read the BIBLE and do what it says. THANK YOU JESUS for simplicity: On the last day, JESUS will say to those on his right hand, "Come, enter the Kingdom. For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was sick and you visited me." Then JESUS will turn to those on HIS left hand and say, "Depart from me because I was hungry and you did not feed me, I was thirsty and you did not give me to drink, I was sick and did not come visit me. " These will ask HIM, "When did we see YOU hungry or thirsty or sick and did not come to Y OUR help?" And JESUS will answer them, "Whatever you neglected to do unto one of the least of these, you neglected to do unto Me!"

As we have gathered here to pray together, I think it will be beautiful if we begin with a prayer that expresses very well what JESUS wants us to do for the least: "Let us thank God for the opportunity HE has given us today to have come here to pray together. We have come here especially to pray for peace, joy and love. We are reminded that JESUS came to bring the good news to the poor. He told us what is that good news when HE said: "My peace I leave with you My peace I give unto you." He came not to give the peace of the world, which is only wthat we don't bother each other. He came to give the peace of heart that comes from loving~~ from doing good to others.

He died for you and for me, and for that leper and for that man dying of hunger and that naked person lying in the street.

It is not enough for us to say:"I love God," but I also have to love my neighbor. It hurt JESUS to love us. We have been created in HIS image for greater things, to love and be loved. We must "put on Christ" as Scripture tells us. And so, we have been created to love as HE lvoes us. JESUS makes HIMSELF the hungry one, the naked one, the homeless one, the unwanted one, and HE says, "You did it to me." On the last day HE will say to those on HIS right, "Whatever you did to the least of these you did to ME." And He will also say to those on his left, "Whatever you neglected to do for the least of these you neglected to do it for Me."

Dear Friends,

Just a quick report on our progress regarding sponsorsh ip of the Urban Missionaries during next weeks International Gathering in Amarillo, Texas: The Funds have been raised in their entirety!

A brother in the Lord called me today and asked, “How close are you to getting the whole amount?” I told him we were just about $130 short of the goal. He said, “The Lord spoke to me to get it started and now to get it done!” A short time later he sent the amount (and a little extra) to cover our awesome missionaries.

Praise the Lord Jesus for this brother’s faithfulness and the faithfulness and generosity of the others that so graciously gave as well. May the blessing and increase of Christ Jesu s rest mightily upon your hearts and lives for your investment of prayers and your sustenance.

BIG PRAYER CALL OUT:

These have been some intense times—and we are well aware as to the reasons! We are seeing things happen in the ministry of unprecedented proportions and the devil is “up against the ropes!”

When we were just a few people in one solitary neighborhood, we were not much of a threat to the enemy’s plans. When I first started pastoring a church years ago and 99% of our ministr y was relegated to the confines of the “church building” we were not much of a threat to his territory!

But now that God has caused an increase and has knot together hearts across this nation to form Raven Ministries International---we are fast moving up his “public enemy” list!

He hates the fact that saints have been willing to go into some of this nation’s most notorious places and share the message of the Cross! Now we have established teams that criss-cross this nation and the Holy Spirit has given them such a heart of love and unity that it’s SCARY for the devil---Praise God!

This weekend alone:

Pastor Meredith Lindsey (Raven Fairfield) is conducting an outreach to bridge racial lines in a very racially segregated central Texas town. He has invited two African-American pastors to join in an outreach to share the Gospel and a free meal to an at-risk neighborhood. They are planning on joining forces every two weeks in an effort to claim this community for Jesus---the devil does not like it!

Pastor Sam Croghan (Raven East Coast) will be in Westminster, Maryland tomorrow joining in a “Back to the Future” event designed to combat the infiltration of gangs and drugs in this very depressed community---the devil doesn’t like it!
Pastor Alex Hill (Raven International) will be joining Pastor Todd Bohn (Raven Post) in Post, Texas for a weekend community-wide outreach on the 14th & 15th. They have partnered with local churches and a local school to have a free ‘enchilada dinner’ at the school and then Pastor Alex will be ministering the Word there Saturday night and Sunday---the devil doesn’t like it!

Pastor Terry Shuff (Raven Midwest) is taking a team to the streets of South Bend, Indiana tonight for street ministry and then will head to Benton Harbor, Michigan with a team tomorrow to an extremely impoverished (and as a res ult crime infested) area that they have been hitting repeatedly with the Gospel---the devil doesn’t like it!

Pastor Rudy Gonzales (Raven West Coast) went to the food bank yesterday to pick up the groceries for the 500 families that they take 7,000 to 10,000 pounds of food to and pray and minister to each week---and the food bank told them that their buying privileges had been revoked---the devil doesn’t like the fact that they are reaching into the worst or the worst neighborhoods and seeing souls come into the Kingdom on a weekly basis. They went to the neighborhoods anyway---and took the Bread of Life and the Fruit of the Spirit and the Water of the Word and they spread a table of Spiritual Meat and all were filled---the devil doesn’t like it!

Pastor Done Eskine and Pastor Thomas Derrick are taking their team into Jackson Square (New Orleans’ French Quarter) tonight where they will feed the hungry and then stand at the North Gate and preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ in front of a pad-locked sepulcher (dead church) where just a hundred and fifty years ago slaves were sold on the auction block. Today they are still peddling human lives in this place—the only difference is that the chains have been traded for Mardi Gras beads and the slave traders now call themselves bartenders, strip club owners, and tarot card readers—but these guys are seeing souls saved and lives turned around each week---and the devil doesn’t like it!

Tomorrow night our tea m will be out on the streets of Daytona Beach where we are having dozens of young kids come and sit and listen to us each week as we serve them a meal, share with them about Jesus, listen to their hearts and pray with them. They continue to come and when they get there—they don’t want to leave---and the devil doesn’t like it!

WE ARE SEEING THINGS COME TO PASS NOW THAT SEEMED SO DISTANT JUST A SHORT WHILE BACK---and the devil doesn’t like it!

We are experiencing an UNPRECEDENTED HARVEST and an UNPRECEDENTED AMOUNT OF OPPOSITION. The devil is working overtime to thwart the work that God is doing and trying to squash the momentum that we h ave been experiencing—but we are standing firm in the FAITH!

JUST IN THE PAST FEW WEEKS:

The medical help that we thought we were going to be getting was suddenly “snatched” away without explanation---but we’re standing on FAITH.

Our landlord called and the City is building a new road—and will be bulldozing our home, causing us to be out the unexpected expense associated with moving into another house at the end of October---but we are standing on FAITH! And we have already found another house to move to (and the owner is a believer!)

The support for the ministry has dwindled to a trickle over the past few months with a fraction of the response that we had just a year ago---and now we are doing 10x’s the ministry----we are standing on FAITH!!

PLEASE PRAY FOR:

Nicolas—a three year old boy in the hospital in San Francisco, Calf. His mother works with Pastor Rudy and the child is in the hospital with a cancerous brain tumor. We are praying and standing on FAITH for his healing and the salvation of his mother (Julianna).

Maxine (Dot Chance of Streetwise Ministries mother) she has been ill and was in the hospital. We are standing on FAITH and believing JESUS for her healing!

The Souls of all of those who our missionaries will meet on the streets of the cities across this nation this weekend. May the Holy Spirit soften and convict their hearts that times of great harvest will occur in this Nation.

Humility and perserverence. Keep on keeping on and follow your God with love and a peace that surpasses all understanding. We love each other and we love those whose hearts are hard from sin. We pray for each other and we pray for those who since the fall of man are hardened by sin. We forgive each other and we forgive each child of God who is in the confusing world of their sin. We walk in the light and keep on walking in the light, bringing the light into the darkness of peoples hearts and a lost and dying world. Stand on the Word of God, find strength in Him. Why, mom?

Those words. After I picked up the girls from school yesterday and told them there was no food for last night's outreach~ the first time in a year~ "Why, mom?" How do you explain that? Cece, with tears streaming down her face said, "Take me to the food bank, mom, and surely if we pray with the lady then she will let us have the food to feed my friends." How do you explain to children all of the things that are not of God~ like there being church buildings unused for the poor? Like there being thousands of "christians" in this city and another teen getting shot in roseland last week and no urgency to go out and spread the gospel that saves to these teens~ Like a warehouse of tons of food and someone unwilling to sell food? When there is indifference to a child's wanting to feed others by adults who could very well and very easily be a part of serving the Lord but are indifferent to the process~ How do you look into the eyes of children who go to forgiveness and prayer for others immediately when you're still caught up in the frustration and answer, "why?"

FAITHFULNESS

"Thou therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also. Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life, that he may please Him who hath chosen him to be a soldier." 2 Timothy 1-4 (Paul to Timothy, who was n Ephesus)

This fleeting life is full of challenges. None so big as the last one Jesus faced. We have He who was crucified living in us to get us through whatever this life can throw at us. As we go out each day to teach and preach the Word of Jesus, in our weakness we are strong in Him. We can depend on this without fail. Amen and PTL. i sometimes forget and try to get it done myself, and then i fall. When i do fall He is there every time to pick me up and set me straight again. Amen. God bless you today and be confident in the joy that He is with us forever, til the end of the world, and beyond. Amen.

He had an infection behind his ear that erupted into his brain, and has had to have surgery to release the infection. This has created a Bells Palsy syndrome in his face, and they are going to be attempting a second surgery on Thursday as things are not getting better with the infection. The little one is not doing well. The mother is a single woman of little or no faith. She and I have not had a good history over the years, and the Lord has spoke to me about this in the past. I have not listened to Him, and have never approached this woman with even a pleasant greeting.

Tonight I am dropping all the anger, and lifting her son up to Jesus for complete healing. COMPLETE!! I know my Jesus is greater than any infection, and is greater than the enemy that keeps me from speaking to her. I rebuke the enemy as a small group of women, Terry, Karen Gina and I, drive to the city tonight to be with her and lift her in prayer.

Please take a minute and pray for Nicolas and his mother, that he will be healed, and that thru his healing, she will see the wonder of the Lord.

Guess what?? I'm going to Texas! My mom and dad told me tonight, and i'm just amazed that im going!!! I totally can't wait!! Can't wait to meet , Hope, Kayla and to meet the whole entire raven team! Also to see Pastor Troy, Big Terry,Eillen, Maradyth,Pastor Alex, Holly! Also a bunch of new friends! I was wondering if some people could donate money twords gas to help us get there? GRATEFULNESS

Hi eveyone. God bless you. i have had an interestingly full week. i am loving the outreach on Thursday being from Rudy and Lori's house now. The people God sends each week are beautiful to behold. God is so good to us. i am battling a chest throat thing that is stubborn but slowly going away. Everyone but Mom got it, please pray she avoids it. i think it has given me more time with God, and for that i am grateful. Sorry i missed being with you at a few events, but i love you all.

i have been studying the Prophets and the correlations to the New testament. There are so many. If you are interested, i will list a few. The Messianic Psalms are pretty fascinating in their relationship to Jesus birth, death, resurrection and second coming. They are: Psalm 2 The son of God, Psalm 45 the One chosen by God, Psalm 78 Teacher of parables, Psalm 110 a Priest forever, Psalm 41 betrayed by a friend, Psalm 35 lied about, Psalm 22 mocked and eventually crucified, Psalm 16 Saviour come back to life, Psalm 68 He returned to Heaven to reign with the Father, and Psalm 72 He will come again.

But for me, the most interesting and most convicting of all is Isaiah 58 and Matthew 25:31-46. This is where God and Jesus tell us to go the the poor, hungry, thirsty, naked, imprisoned people of the world. Jesus takes it further and says the "least of these," the poorest of the poor. Isaiah was written about 740 years before Jesus lived. Wow. God was speaking through him and speaks to us today. Jesus came and spoke directly to us. He left us His Holy Spirit to guide us. i am in great awe. This is our Mission, the RAVEN Mission and i vow to do this with my dying breath. i will fall short, but i have my brothers and sisters to help me up and keep me on the narrow path and i am grateful. It has been a gift form God to be in His word this last week and weekend. i can think of nothing i love more than going for Him, wherever He sends me, and being in His word. Thank you Jesus. Amen.

Hey everyone!
I have a scripture for you guys.... Genesis 1:26-28
26-28 God spoke: "Let us make human beings in our image, make them
reflecting our nature

and every animal that moves on the face of Earth."
God created human beings;
he created them godlike,
Reflecting God's nature.
He created them male and female.

As some of you guys know, my classmates and I aare learning about the homo saipens, neathrathals, lucy, and a bunch of dumb stuff. I got this shirt at Rock of Ages, that says "Chicks don't come from Monkeys" I think that it's soooo awesome, now i'm going to wear it to school. I have one question for you guys, (one that I asked my teacher :) ) If people evolved from monkeys then why aren't people still evolving from monkeys??????
I hope that I don't find an answer to that one! See most of you at the bbq today!

Friday SF postponed! ROCK of AGES tomorrow!

Blessed be the name of the LORD!
Thank you JESUS for near 7,000lbs of food~ only $115~ near 500 families fed~ possibly 2,000 people~ thank you to the RAVEN team for your very hard work~ that was a LOT of food to move in the rain!

A huge thank you to Marc Carrillo for picking up the UHAUL truck, Teri and Mariah for taking a load over here from the food bank~ Rich and Josaiah for tirelessly serving the Lord all day long.

There were lots of new comers yesterday~ PRAISE GOD! We lift up all the people who were touched with the humble offering from you JESUS~ the pudding, the potatoes, the bread~ we ask JESUS this morning to multiply the food beyond what we saw last night~ that prayers of thanksgiving would be petitioned~ Thank you to Maddie, Cece, Miles, Michael, Frank, Nick, Jack, Kristy, Katie, Korie, Chris, Sofie, Deb, Anthony and others~ thank you for 2 Corinthians! I love you JESUS!

Everyone, we are not, NOT going to San Francisco tonight~ we will postpone soon.
There was talk of going to Santa Rosa Avenue tonight too, but that will happen on the 14th.

Tomorrow morning please meet at Shawna Schumacher's home~ 1475 Golf Course Drive~ Windsor. Take the Shiloh ext and head west, turn right on Golf Course Drive. 9:30 am sharp! We need lots of drivers~ dress in layers, bring snacks, wear hats and prepare for a really fun day! ROCK on 4 JESUS!

Sunday we are going to the Giving Tree held at 11:30 w/ Pastor RC~ then bbq 1-4 and testimonies from Skid Row at the Gonzalez House~ let me know who's coming~ bring some toys for TJ please and a side dish to share!

Hey All,Dot flew back to Dallas today to be with her Mom, Maxine. She has been really sick, weak and dehydrated. They had to take her back to the emergency room tonight to get her hydrated and give her potassium through an IV.She has been very weak and in a lot of pain. We sincerely ask for your prayers for Maxine. Also, pray for Dot and the whole family gathered there at the hospital.Dot called me a few minutes ago from Texas and told me they are admitting her Mom back into the hospital and a re putting her in intensive care. We need you to stand in faith with us.We know the doctor's report is not great, but we chose to believe the report of the Lord. His report says Maxine is healed... Jesus took stripes on His back to provide her healing.We are trusting God for a miracle. We know "Dr. Jesus," The Great Physician, still walks the halls of the hospital and we know as Maxine reaches out by faith and touches the "hem of His garment," she will be made whole.Thank you for standing with us and choosing to believe the report of the Lord. By His stripes, she is healed. Just like a tree planted by the water, we shall not be moved.

RAVEN Midwest hooks up with RAVEN EastCoast

This was an awesome trip out to Hanover, Pennsylvania, York, Pa. and Westminster, Maryland. We traveled 1350 miles round trip and the van and trailer did excellent. We drove in the hills and mountains for what seemed like forever. It was so worth it though to see the joy on the peoples faces and we arrived and set up on Saturday. The kids were so awesome as they are everywhere we go!! We had an awesome team also consisting of "The Prathaftakis Family", Lance, Leigh, Layne and Cole, Kim Dubash, Big Johnny Johnson, and Dave Andreson. The team worked together like a well oiled machine. We so much appreciate the giving that the team put out whether it was labor, love, financial or whatever. It was all good!!! I know that each of us were taken to a new level on this trip. We also want to thank Pastor Sam & Lucy and all the others that opened up their houses to us and made us feel so welcome. We love you guys!!!Brother Nick Castro from Texas was a huge blessing to us also!! Get this brother on his guitar and it is good!!! The brother can "sang"!!
Pastor Alex Hill from RAVEN Austin leads Jaime to the Lord!!!!!! Jaime was so fired up that he took the invite from Pastor Sam to come to church on Sunday then brought a friend (Justin) who also gave his life to the Lord. I look for these brothers to be on the streets before long telling people what Jesus has done for them!!!
I spent a large part of the day with this family. They are so special and were so open to hearing the Word of God!! The three young girls hung out at my grill for a long time. They were so open to hearing what JESUS could and would do in their lives if they would just give their lives unconditionally to HIM!!! Dad did not want to come over but wanted a hamburger so I set this brother up a "triple stacker" and he gave me a big thumbs up when the girls gave it to him. Mama also wanted one later so I set her up with a double with hot peppers between the burgers. The girls and the rest of the family laughed as mama bit into it. Mama thought is was funny too and it was such a blessing to me to see them having such a good time. They were having a good time not because we were there but because JESUS sent us there and they could feel his presence. I can not begin to tell you what a blessing it is to be out with these people if you have never been out before. There is no football game or any other worldly thing that can match it!! I was close to tears leaving this family because of the joy they brought me!! Thank you JESUS for the opportunity to go and be your mouth, hands, and feet!!!
Donna was such a blessing to the kids!! We had a massive amount of kids out there and many of them were so young. This area is called "The Jungle" and some would not even come to get food when invited because they said that "we do not go into the jungle" or we do not go on "that street". The area on Saturday was very tame and the joy of the Lord was in the air!!!

Families and children will gather on Sunday, October 29th from 2-4 to TRUNK or TREAT 4 JESUS in Papago Ct/Apple Valley, West Ninth & Roseland!
Coordinator Gina Carrillo is accepting bags of candy for those of you who's calendars are already full! Please give them to her at church or drop by her house during the next couple of weeks~ let's see how many pounds of candy we can collect 4 the children living in what has been called the toughest gang neighborhoods of Santa Rosa!

Last week the lonely, hurting and many homeless people came and walked right in front of our house (!)~ our brother Meredith from Texas (praise GOD!) and I were able to minister right in front of the house to neighbors, homeless, college students and high schoolers~ it was an amazing afternoon of ministry! please come and learn, come and help, come and see what the Lord is doing! Read Matthew and obey the word and show up! If you don 't know what you would say to someone then come join the RAVEN team who assembles each week and learn! It's a great opportunity for your kids and you to GO4GOD! If 10 minutes works between soccer games and basketball~ I understand~ just come and see!

Beloved, what a weekend on Skid Row!  
Salvations, attacks, food, prayers, worship~ not in that particular order~ 
This morning I have praise for JESUS~
I thank him~ will you pray with me:
Lord, my heavenly father, I love you.  I come before you with awe.  I ask forgiveness.  I have tried to defend against those who have sought to seek, kill and destroy~ to whisper words of discouragement~ and LORD I know that it is not the work of other believers or churches or even pastors~ but it is the work of the devil and the prince of the air who has sought to thrash, mangle, twist words and destroy works of your servants to bring glory to your kingdom.  I come before you to ask forgiveness~ for not allowing your shed blood to be my defense.  To have feelings of anger and frustration and bitterness and doubt and to not trust that YOU have the authority and power to defend the defenseless. How it must grieve you when your children aren't unified.  The children like my family and others in Santa Rosa living in homes and your children living without homes on Skid Row.  So much confusion Father.  Satan gets the glory in situations of disunity and I stand to say, NO MORE!  NO MORE will I allow Satan to crush your will.  I trust you JESUS.  You have been speaking to me, "TRUST ME."  When Hez got hurt the devil was right there in my ear saying, "liability!  I told you so!  I told you so!  I told you so!"  And I felt like no more could you have me and my husband going with the gospel when so many obstacles are being shown~ from a flat tire to no money to a punch in the nose~ and I ask your forgiveness that I felt discouraged, abandoned, worthless.  You are right there, you have been right there, you will forever be there~ help me JESUS have no hour of reluctance!  Help me JESUS to remember not moment by  moment but second by second that it is your shed blood like my brother reminded me, that stands in my defense.  Help me to forgive those who trespass against us and forgive me of my trespasses.  I cry out to you JESUS~ I confess to you of my unclean thoughts, words, actions~ I confess to you for relying on the wisdom of men rather than your word~ let my day and life be a humble gift to glorify you, in JESUS name, AMEN.
