God bless you everyone. i pray this Advent season is alive in your hearts and in all you do. i pray Jesus lives through each of us to all we meet on the way and that each one finds their way to God. Amen

i have been struggling through some stuff, but my spirit was lifted yesterday. Pastor Troy and Pastor Alex were driving to Fairfield, TX and tried to call. The reception was poor so we lost each other twice. Then i texted. Pastor Troy texted back and in the message said "Stay close to the cross and your eye on the prize." i had been praying, but this message was what i needed. Wherever i am i can do this and a gentle reminder helped me through it. If i am out on the road for Christ, or at home struggling through illness, i can still be that light. i can still be close to Him. Thanks PT, Amen.

i teach 4th to 6th grade Bible class at Hope chapel. i am on every 1st and 3rd Sunday. Today was my day to preach the lesson. Today the Holy Spirit showed up in force. Each child in the class was on the Word, each child is saved and each child got the message. They prayed, said a rousing Amen, and were a joy to be with. Not that they are not always, but it was special today. i was lifted up by them and encouraged. They get it. i am proud of them and i am sure the Father was smiling at each one of them. God is good, amen.

We each have the power to lift each other up, i was struck by that today. i went to service at 9am before i taught, which is my habit. There was a guest speaker and he preached on miracles. Jimmy's worship team was right on and John Moore sang so beautifully. i was moved to tears. i was moved to teach the kids today about God's love, His blessings and miracles in our lives. The kids were moved. These are the mighty boys and girls of Christ who will grow into our future mighty men and women of Christ. i love them and accepted the awesome responsibility of teaching and i thank God for it.

i also have a co-leadership role with the Junior High and High School youth on Thursday nights. This is where i started 26 years ago as a youth minister in San Francisco and still am useful also. These youth need strong men and women in Christ to guide them. We always need more help with this. They need Jesus so much but don't always know how to keep the light burning. We are there for them. This conflicted with my RAVEN outreach to the poor so i made a way to make it a win/win situation. i pick up youth from Hope and take them to the outreach and have them back in time for worship and a message by Pastor Mike or one of the leaders. This works out great for all.

i have the children in my heart as i have RAVEN in my heart and i love both so much. i am here and where i am for a reason. God's reasons, and one day i hope to be traveling 24/7 for RAVEN. My heart really loves preaching the Gospel, teaching Jesus salvation message to everyone i meet. But right now at this time, i am here doing what God wants of me. i split my time as i pray i should, i am doing what i feel God wants of me. i am going to carry no more guilt about it all. i am going to beat this inner ear thing and i will be 100% healthy soon.
.
Why am i sharing all this? Well, God has blessed me with the best He has to offer. He has given me my hearts desire in giving me many children (for i never have been blessed with my own), and He has given me the opportunity to share His saving message with the "poorest of the poor", as Mother Teresa called them, or "the least of these" as Jesus called them. i spent 2 weeks with the Missionaries of Charity in 95 and though i would never trade that time for anything, i did not feel called to join them. God has given me a heart as young as the children and as old as the adults i serve. My life is full and i am thankful. i am grateful to God that He has given me so much and am proud to be a servant for Him.

Hope i have not put you all to sleep, i have some time on my hands :). i love you all, you are the best brothers and sisters a person could pray for. God bless you all in your walk with God. May he bless you each step. Amen.
