15 Yr Old Scheduled for Heart Surgery

Steven Leinen, the fifteen year old brother or Raven member “Big John” Leinen, is being flown from Amarillo, Texas to Houston to undergo heart surgery. The reason for the surgery is because of a thickening of the heart wall that inh ibits its ability to beat and function properly.

They will be going in and “burning away” part of the wall of the heart to ease the stress that has been put upon it. PLEASE continue to pray for this young man.

“Big John” reports that his brother feels like giving up because of all of the things that he has gone through in the past weeks: chemotherapy for the leukemia, extended hospital stay (ICU) and now the heat surgery.

This concerns “Big John” the most because of the fact that His brother is not saved. Please, please pray for this young man’s healing and especially for his salvation.

Also---I will be flying out to speak at the “Accelerated Impact” Conference on Evangelism in Ontario, Canada this afternoon. I’ll be picked up by Raven Midwest’s, Pastor Terry Shuff and then we’ll make the six hour drive into Canada together in the morning.

Please pray for God’s grace and anointing to be upon this strategic time of ministry, that (in the words of Paul the Apostle) “He might give me utterance to open my mouth boldly to make known the mystery of the Gospel.”

I’ll be speaking five times in three days at the conference before heading to Indiana on Sunday where I’ll speak at the Crossing in Goshen on Sunday nght.

Also, keep Melanie and Kayla in your prayers as well as they “hold down the fort” while I am gone. They are such a blessing!

When I was first invited to participate in this conference I was somewhat reluctant to accept the invitation because it was scheduled during the Thanksgiving holiday (in the USA), but they both insisted that I go because of the seriousness of the hour and the need to teach and impart a desperation to win souls to Jesus in this day.

I praise God for a wife (of twenty years!) and a daughter (of fifteen years!) that are so tuned into the task at hand and the dire need to raise up a whole new generation of “Soul Winners” that they too would mak e the sacrifice for this cause.


They are awesome!
