CHRIST IS COMING

Wow, the Christ-mas season is here and shoppers are all hurriedly scurrying about looking for that one perfect gift for each person on their list. The urgency will increase as we get closer to the 25th of December. Time is short.
.
May i offer that the one perfect gift is Jesus and the urgency will increase as we march on to the end of this world as we know it. Time is short.
.
As Thanksgiving has just passed a few days ago i am filled with many emotions of the season. Love being the most forefront and how to bring that in action to all i meet these coming weeks of Advent. I am truly thankful for our God who is in the many details of our lives and in control of this huge universe we live in. i can't let that be forgotten in my heart or the way i live my life.
.
My family got together for thanksgiving. My mom, sister, brother-in-law, brother (who is divorcing his second wife in ten years) and my nephew Myles. My grown niece came by,(25) my brothers daughter, on her way to San Francisco to see her mom. Her mom and my brother divorced over 10 years ago. She was arrested and is in jail in SF for drunk driving, child endangerment and hitting a car. She had my two great nephews in the car, Anthony 6, and Lamar Jr. 5. My heart breaks for them. Their father, Lamar, is already in San Quentin and now Mom is in jail in SF. The family will be there for these two innocents and we will help them through the holidays, and i know God is in control and has a plan for them all. Only God gives me peace in my heart for a family that is so lost and far away from Him. Only God can bring the joy that lives in my heart, the hope of their salvation. If i did not have Him, i could not make it in this dark and dying world. Please pray for Monica, Lamar, Anthony, Lamar Jr. and my brother John. Pray for their salvation. Time is so short.
.
This brought me to this scripture. "However if you suffer as a Christian do not be ashamed, but praise God that you bear that name. For it is time for judgement to begin with the family of God, and if it begins with us, what will the outcome be for those who do not obey the Gospel of God? And, If it is hard for the righteous to be saved, what will become of the ungodly and the sinner?" 1 Peter 4:16-18
.
This time of joy in the Lord, the preparing of our hearts for Christmas day, of thanksgiving and of love is a beautiful time of year. Many hearts want to believe, need to believe in God, and we can help them. My prayer is for all of us, each Christian in God's family to reach out to their families however hard that may be. Time is short, there is an urgency to bring Jesus salvation message to our families and beyond. God bless each of you and your families this holiday season and always, i pray we are all in His kingdom for eternity together. Amen.
