A member of the Hell's Angels motorcycle club was charged with felony battery Monday after he allegedly shot another man in the hip last week outside a south-side strip club, authorities said.
The two began arguing about 2:45 a.m. Thursday outside the Torch Lounge, 1817 S. Michigan St., and Dowling allegedly pulled out a gun and fired several shots into the parking lot pavement, court documents show.
The victim was hit by a bullet when he tried to grab the gun away from Dowling, according to the charges.
Dowling's bond is set at $5,000. He will be arraigned at 1 p.m. today.

Message from John Leinen
RE: His brother
Raven Ministries InternationalNov 23, 2006
Sorry I have not had time to personally keep you informed.
There is so much info its hard to get it intact by the time it makes it down the chain lol.
So I wanted to give you the 411 from the source of the info.
My brother Stephen is 16, and on the day before the RAVEN banquette he was admitted to BSA hospital for a 7 hour nose bleed.
The Monday after our awesome time together with the Lord and his doctors diagnosed him with the rarest form of leukemia.
A few days after that diagnosis they told us about his enlarged heart. They said "we will treat the cancer then worry about his heart". Well weeks and weeks went by and finally the let him come home for a week.
Then on his third day home he had another nose bleed and went back to the hospital. They treated it and sent him home.
The whole time he had been home from the first day the company for his meds had been saying that without $1600 per month they would stop his meds.
The insurance only covers what is done at the hospital. well he had his check up on the Monday following his week home and they admitted him for two blood transfusions and he was supposed to go home right after.
That Tuesday they found he had a infection in his blood and kept him. Wed they tell Pastor Mark and my family that Stephens leukemia in starting to go into remission. Thursday 4:00 am he starts having trouble.
Thursday 10:00am they call me and tell me he is going back to ICU. By 11:00am his heart quits the first time I get to hear them screaming for crash carts and 20 doctors surrounding him. Turns out he has a second heart problem that can kill him with athletic type activity (Indiana basketball player died on the court playing ball had the same condition) they say it is hereditary and had to come from one of my parents and there is a 1 in 4 chance both me and my sister have it too.
Later on he is stable and me and his nurse pick him up to help him use the bathroom and after we get him situated on the bedside toilette and step out the machines go crazy his heart had dropped again. I had to dead lift him (290pounds) and hold him up while the nurse cleaned him off. You know PT I thought someday I would have to maybe do that for my parents but not my little brother.
Since then and before then many many things happened that were just as bad but for times sake..........He stayed pretty stable through the weekend little episodes hear and there but they got him stable everytime.
They were waiting for his infection to go away before they could send him to Houston.
It was gone as of this Tuesday but then Wednesday I get that call I hate getting and they say get your mom from work your brother cant breathe because of fluid trapped between his lungs and his ribcage, and they needed my mom to sign the papers before they could put a tube through his ribcage to let out the fluid.
They did it and as soon as they stuck it in they got 27 ounces of fluid and mo re came out all night.
Around 10:30pm they woke him up to give him pills and he had been asleep every since the operation.
As soon as he woke up he felt pain so bad that his body convulsed and he stopped breathing.
They got O2 and got him breathing and he was begging for pain meds. I held his and and rubbed his head and some of what little of the hair on his head fell out into my fingers.
He was in so much pain then that he could not talk i told him i was there and if he could hear me squeeze my hand and he did. I prayed for his pain to go away as i laid hands on him then told him i was going to call some prayer warriors he shook his head yes.
He is stable for now but actually hurting so bad that he groans in his sleep.
On that one Thursday when his heart tried to quit on him he was awak e and aware of it all especially the pain they let me talk to him wile they were operating cuz i said "I'm sorry I know y'all are doing your job but i need to talk with him about are primary physician. the doctor, a Hindu man said "who is this doctor?" I said Jesus and his words were "proceed".
I talked with my brother and he said "don't bother i already asked Jesus to forgive me".
He is in great depression and doesn't care about much most of the depression is also from the meds they give him. But if you can do nothing else in life but ask Jesus to forgive u and u will go to heaven then my brother is saved.
But if there is more to it than that like so many of us believe then I don't know if he is saved i really don't.
He knows that Jesus did not make him sick, and we all keep telling him Jesus is the healer, and he says "If Jesus is letting me go through this and not healing me for a reason, I'm fine with that but why does He have to let it hurt so much?"
Love, Big John

From Bobby & Dot Chance
Hey RAVENS,
We have rescheduled the next Skid Row outreach
for Saturday, January 27th.
There will be no Skid Row outreach this Dec. 9th.
Tons of groups who only do a once a year "holiday feeding"
will be on Skid Row from today, through Thanksgiving
and beyond Christmas.
We want to go back out there when the people need us most...
after everyone is gone, the holidays are over
and they are still hungry and homeless.
So, let's have a huge blitz on January 27th
and see Jesus touch and heal the hurting.
I heard a statistic on LA news radio last night
that says there are 10,000 available beds in shelters
in LA county, but there is an estimated 48,000
homeless people.
So if someone without a clue asks,
"Why don't these people just go into shelters
and spend the night?,"
here is the answer:
48,000 homeless people ...
10,000beds... hmmm...
my math says 38,000 with no bed but the street.
You might say it was like in baby Jesus' case,
"There was no room at the Inn."
Let's get out there and keep lovin' on them in Jesus' Name.
Happy Thanksgiving everybody.
See you for Mexico Outreach in December
and on Skid Row in January.
Going For Jesus,
Bobby and Dot <><
From Pastor Troy
15 Yr Old Scheduled for Heart Surgery
Pastor Troy D. Bohn
Nov 22, 2006
“Big John” reports that his brother feels like giving up because of all of the things that he has gone through in the past weeks: chemotherapy for the leukemia, extended hospital stay (ICU) and now the heat surgery.
I’ll be speaking five times in three days at the conference before heading to Indiana on Sunday where I’ll speak at the Crossing in Goshen on Sunday nght.
When I was first invited to participate in this conference I was somewhat reluctant to accept the invitation because it was scheduled during the Thanksgiving holiday (in the USA), but they both insisted that I go because of the seriousness of the hour and the need to teach and impart a desperation to win souls to Jesus in this day.
They are awesome!
We’ll also feature answers to questions and comments sent to us via email each week too.
(The best part about this is that it is FREE).
HOW GREAT IS OUR GOD?
This morning my dad comes by~
I am barely awake~
oops~
and he says to me that we need to go to Wal Mart and shop for the homeless because it's cold outside.
I make him some hotcakes and perk right up.
He says that the tribe may, MAY be willing to give us some money towards the homeless.
K....
So, after taking Jenna Schu home (Maddie and Cece's best friend) I head across the freeway to the Windsor Wal Mart.
I go inside and there's my dad with a big grin on his face.
He says that we need to go and "shop" for $5,000 worth of "stuff" for the homeless. !!!!!!!
(I know, can you imagine?)
Has anyone ever dreamed of being able to go on a $5,000 shopping spree?
Here's the catch.
There must be a catch (?)
Dad says that we'll make a "mock" receipt of the items needed and then take it up the tribe to see if and when they could fund it, if possible.
k, still pretty exciting!
So, Dad and I and Maddie and Cece are off!
We've got ideas~ we pack everything we can think of~
I call Deb and Gina and Rudy and ask them for ideas~
I don't have Brian's phone # or Tonie's (I have a new phone) so I'm not feeling adequate of what to get~
I get over that feeling and keep throwing things into the cart.
There.
That MUST be enough.
I add it all up....
Only $1700~ huh?
C'mon, it's got to be more than that!
NOPE!
So, we figure on just getting 175 beanies instead of 75 beanies and 75 packs of socks instead of 5 packs of 15 per pack socks, etc.... there....
To make this long testimony -shopping-day short~
Advance forward a couple hours from shopping and phone calls to Deb (did I say callS...and Gina... and Rudy....)
Dad says, okay!
I'm off to the tribe and he's got the "mock" receipt~
nothing promised but could I follow him up there to pick up bags of groceries left over from their distribution last Monday night?
Sure.
We go to the tribal office.
It's all the way in Healdsburg.
There are dozens of grocery bags (!) and again, I make my phone callS to Deb, Gina, Rudy....
If I pick these up is there anyone who will go take them out?
We tried to get in touch w/ Hope Windsor's Pastor Dennis because he is ON FIRE for Christ and I thought that would be the easiest person to not have to explain that I had groceries ready to go that he could just hand out to the Milky Way Outreach~
but I didn't have his number and I knew Shawna was out of town....
so who stepped up?
Deb and Pastor Mike!
PHEW!
They'll take them out!
Gina lets me know of others who need food.
The Broyles called yesterday needing food for someone~
so, thank YOU JESUS for providing again.
THANK YOU JESUS.
We finish loading the groceries into the car.
Maddie, Cece, my dad and I.
Dad says, "Hey, the tribal board is meeting would you come speak to them?"
GULP.
No, make that a DOUBLE GULP.
Sure.
Maddie and Cece and I pray.
I call Rudy.
Rudy's prays.
Deb and Gina have been home prayin all day~
so I decided to just GO and not call them again.
Isn't it a good feeling to know you have friends who are lifting you up in prayer?
K.
Donaghys are in Colorado... keep praying~
can't call them~
but figure Rich would say, "GO" if I did call him~
no backing down.
We go in to the board room.
Dad starts talking~
Cece chimes in.
She tells them about how the outreach started w/ the bags last year.
Maddie tells them THANK YOU SO MUCH.
Dad handed out the receipts to the board of the things we wanted to pass out to the homeless.
They're sitting around this huge, long table~
LORD, are you sure you made my mouth?
I thanked them again~
They ask some questions about the homeless outreach.
Maddie, Cece and I all chime in and answer their questions~
We tell them about Daddy's friend Brian who goes under the bridges to visit his friends who live there and we talk about the Tenderloin in San Francisco and Skid Row in Los Angeles~
we mention Gurneville and how much they could help us put a dent into the great need for those that are homeless here.
More questions.
More answers.
THANK YOU JESUS.
What seemed like a long time only took minutes~
Approved.
GULP 3 TIMES.
We hug some of the ladies.
They said please bring us pictures.
AMEN.
I invite them out.
One member says, "I'd rather write you the check."
I said, "That works too! Thank you, because I really can't write the check!"
We walk out.
Dad is grinning.
Maddie and Cece~ just another day serving the Lord for them.
Me?
I still can't get over yesterday, or the day before, or the week before...
What is today?
Dad says, let's go meet at Wal-Mart, they are sending someone down right now to charge it all and then you can shop.
GULP, GULP, GULP, GULP, OKAY.
We get in the car.
More phone callS.
Gina! Deb! Rudy! Can you believe this?
(Rudy by the way I forget is working so he didn't pick up!)
We go to Wal Mart, back in Windsor~
Teri Bennett calls me~ she helps me with sizes~
Lord, please help me, I'm not a shopper and I don 't want to let anyone down with these choices, but it's got to be purchased...
it's cold outside~
Jump ahead~
from 10am to 5:15 we shop 'til we drop.
We have a dozen carts and a roller thing filled.
Sleeping bags, jackets, rain coats, cold weather coats, socks, underwear, beanies, gloves, tents, tarps, boots, sanitizers, tampons, bags, crackers, blankets, sweat pants, jeans, tshirts, outdoor blankets...
all sorts of things (!)
Deb and Mike and Myles show up to help us with the grocery bags~
Anthony and Rudy and my Dad and Bryce and Brett and Davis (nephews) show up~
and there's Pastor Russ and Ter~
ah, thanks for the divine appointment JESUS because the girls and I are pooped out from shopping and it's starting to look like it's going to rain~
and we've got to get all this "stuff" into the cars~
We get home and JESUS sends Marc (thanks) and he helps us all load it into the garage.
JESUS, THANK YOU.
Will you pray with me?
You see, I only have 12 more minutes before we are heading out to pick up the RAVEN Box Truck and go to Costco~ another miracle I haven't even told you about~ by 8:00 pm.
LORD, Father God~ your plan is perfect! I am amazed by YOU. I thank YOU JESUS for what you have stirred up~ so many, LORD. I LOVE YOU JESUS! I ask tonight that you would pour out your blessings upon my dad and my girls~ and I ask that YOU would pour out your blessings upon the Dry Creek Band of Pomo Indians who have contributed $10,000 of food and $5,000 worth of "stuff" in the past week alone. Let that casino money be used for YOUR GLORY to help others be reminded that YOU are faithful in providing clothes and food and shelter to the least of your brethren. I love YOU JESUS. I thank YOU that my dad is being used by YOU~ my children~ my nephews, my husband, my friends~ ALL 4 U JESUS. I thank you that you answer prayers. Lord, I ask that the HOLY SPIRIT fills up others to come and see and be a part of what YOU are doing! Send the laborers LORD, please! Go before us tonight as we head over to Costco. Thank YOU for dying so I can live. I love YOU. In the name of the Father, Son, Holy Spirit, in the name of JESUS CHRIST, AMEN.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, JESUS - OUTREACH TO TIJUANA CHILDREN
Last year we were able to use a bus to take the team across the border for our outreach and to go to the garbage dump to reach out to the children there. Unfortunately, that same bus is no longer available. In just a few short weeks we will have around 85 people on our team to take the love of Jesus and toys that He has provided to two places in Tijuana. We will be hosting our annual HAPPY BIRTHDAY, JESUS party at the church in TJ for about 600 children and around 200 adults. We will be blocking off the street (with the City's permission), setting up a bounce house, painting precious little faces, ministering the Gospel, feeding about 800 people (plus our team) and giving away toys to children who have nothing! The toy (value around $10) that we present to them will be the ONLY toy most of them receive all year...
Then we will be taking most of the team to the garbage dump in TIjuana where we will be giving away 500 teddy bears and 500 hot dogs to children who LITERALLY live in the garbage dump! Last year we only had about 35 "left over" toys and not nearly enough peanut butter and jelly sandwiches to give to them. The team had to begin tearing the sandwiches in half in order to feed more hungry children - it was heartbreaking - children were chasing the bus and literally begging for a toy or some food. WE HAVE TO DO SOMETHING!
Thanks to Lori and Rudy Gonzales of Raven West Coast (ugo4God) for coming up with the idea of 500 teddy bears and getting them donated! Their children are amazing, Anthony, Maddie and Cece. They have worked hard to gather toys for this outreach.
A 6 year old little boy in San Angelo, Texas, is doing a fundraiser and toy drive every Sunday after church at Christian Faith Center (Pastors Tod and Shelly Nelson). His first Sunday he sold hot chocolate and brownies and raised $70 to help the children in Tijuana.
We need you to begin to pray right now for us to be able to cross the border with the toys and supplies needed for the outreach - please pray without ceasing. Please pray that above all these children receive Jesus and know that the blessing is from Him!
We also need to raise the funds to pay for all the food needed for the outreach, for all the toys and childrens underwear, toothbrushes and school supplies (crayolas, pencils, markers) to come in. We do not want even one child to leave our ou treach with nothing!
Also needed: beans, rice and onions to give to the families that attend (large zip loc bags are also needed)
A big need is transportation. Do you have a bus that you would like to drive to the border and help us cross and also drive us to the garbage dump? We could use 2 buses to take us to the dump. Do you know of a church in LA or San Diego that would want to help with this need?
If you would like to attend the outreach please contact us right away. You will need to pay for you own hotel room ($59.95/night - sleeps 4) and for you own food for most meals. You will need to purchase a TEAM JESUS t-shirt for $10 (please let us know your size).
The youth group from Hope Chapel in Santa Rosa is coming and each participant has been asked to bring 10 toys - what a great idea!
Please let us know how you can help:
1) Through prayer
2) Financial contribution
3) Send a $10 toy (there's no maximum - send as many as you can!)
4) Provide a bus or buses
5) $100 needed for Sowers of Seed scripture booklets in Spanish

Give us a God we can follow
In Exodus 32 the people asked this of their pastor and he complied for fear of what they would do if he didn’t.
Let’s look at scripture-
1 When the people saw that Moses was so long in coming down from the mountain, they gathered around Aaron and said, "Come, make us gods [a] who will go before us. As for this fellow Moses who brought us up out of Egypt, we don't know what has happened to him."
I have heard this story before and read it several times but this past week it really hit me. Why would they do this? First they say make us a gods who will go before us. What they were saying is that we can follow. Something easier than what Moses and the true God was requiring already. Look at how they refer to Moses “this fellow” what had he done for them….. Brought them out of Egypt? How about rescued them! They were all slaves. No life of their own, beaten abused taken advantage of. But now free. I think all of us that have been set free from what ever it was that kept us in bondage thought our life with Christ would be easier. But we need to look and realize that it takes work.
So instead of doing the work let’s create our own gods? That we can control? That requires only what we are willing to offer?
2 Aaron answered them, "Take off the gold earrings that your wives, your sons and your daughters are wearing, and bring them to me." 3 So all the people took off their earrings and brought them to Aaron. 4 He took what they handed him and made it into an idol cast in the shape of a calf, fashioning it with a tool. Then they said, "These are your gods, [b] O Israel, who brought you up out of Egypt."
So they took of their gold….. They gave there money…. Their status…. They even required their family to do the same. Once they fashioned it with a tool (this means it was made with their own hands) they said that this was the god that saved them. Do we do this today? Do we require our pastors to build golden calves and justify it by saying that the churches that we build are saving us? Do we ask each other to sacrifice…. To throw our gold into the fire?
5 When Aaron saw this, he built an altar in front of the calf and announced, "Tomorrow there will be a festival to the LORD." 6 So the next day the people rose early and sacrificed burnt offerings and presented fellowship offerings. [c] Afterward they sat down to eat and drink and got up to indulge in revelry.
I think we can find the above on any given Sunday across America.
7 Then the LORD said to Moses, "Go down, because your people, whom you brought up out of Egypt, have become corrupt. 8 They have been quick to turn away from what I commanded them and have made themselves an idol cast in the shape of a calf. They have bowed down to it and sacrificed to it and have said, 'These are your gods, O Israel, who brought you up out of Egypt.'
Can’t run from God…….
9 "I have seen these people," the LORD said to Moses, "and they are a stiff-necked people. 10 Now leave me alone so that my anger may burn against them and that I may destroy them. Then I will make you into a great nation."
Would God ever do this to HIS PEOPLE?
11 But Moses sought the favor of the LORD his God. "O LORD," he said, "why should your anger burn against your people, whom you brought out of Egypt with great power and a mighty hand? 12 Why should the Egyptians say, 'It was with evil intent that he brought them out, to kill them in the mountains and to wipe them off the face of the earth'? Turn from your fierce anger; relent and do not bring disaster on your people. 13 Remember your servants Abraham, Isaac and Israel, to whom you swore by your own self: 'I will make your descendants as numerous as the stars in the sky and I will give your descendants all this land I promised them, and it will be their inheritance forever.' “14 Then the LORD relented and did not bring on his people the disaster he had threatened.
How many times have we heard people defend what the church is doing because they are the Body of Christ?
15 Moses turned and went down the mountain with the two tablets of the Testimony in his hands. They were inscribed on both sides, front and back. 16 The tablets were the work of God; the writing was the writing of God, engraved on the tablets.
17 When Joshua heard the noise of the people shouting, he said to Moses, "There is the sound of war in the camp."
18 Moses replied:
"It is not the sound of victory,
it is not the sound of defeat;
it is the sound of singing that I hear."
It is often stated “I love that church they have great worship” or “I only go for the worship” but Moses said, "It is not the sound of victory, it is not the sound of defeat; it is the sound of singing that I hear." The Message version says…
But Moses said,
Those aren't songs of victory,
And those aren't songs of defeat,
I hear songs of people throwing a party.
I wonder if to God our worship sounds like us just throwing a party every Sunday. I found this definition of worship on the internet.
Worship - "Worship is honor and adoration directed to God. The New Testament uses several words for worship. Two of them particularly are noteworthy. The first is proskuneo, a commonly used term that literally means "to kiss toward," "to kiss the hand," or "to bow down." It is the word for worship used to signify humble adoration. The second word is latreuo, which suggests rendering honor, or paying homage. Both terms carry the idea of giving, because worship is giving something to God. The Anglo-Saxon word from which our English word is weorthscipe, which is tied to the concept of worthiness. Worship is ascribing to God His worth, or stating and affirming His supreme value.
When we talk about worship, we are talking about something we give to God. Modern Christianity seems committed instead to the idea that God should be giving to us. God does give to us abundantly, but we need to understand the balance of that truth - we are to render honor and adoration to God. That consuming, selfless desire to give to God is the essence and the heart of worship. It begins with the giving first of ourselves, and then of our attitudes, and then of our possessions - until worship is a way of life." (from John MacArthur, Jr. "The Unltimate Priority")
"Worship is to the Christian life what the mainspring is to a watch, what the engine is to a car. It is the very core, the most essential element. Worship cannot be isolated or relegated to just one place, time, or segment of our lives." (from John MacArthur, Jr. "The Unltimate Priority")
"Worship is the only gift we can bring to God that He Himself has not first given to us."
We need to ask ourselves does our worship look like this?
More to come.................................

Last Sunday

Thank you, Jesus. Teri, Cathy, Kelly, Judy, Carrillos prepared a Thanksgiving FEAST on Sunday to be shared at the Bennett home. Brian brought the word! Jesus we love YOU! Here are some pics! We need a bus

Help. So there are about 80 people who are heading to TJ for this year's Christmas party. But we need to get them across the border. The only solution I can think of is a bus. Last year we had one but this year it is missing in action. So, rack your brains, pray, look on ebay, look on the side of the road, ask your local churches, anything (!) but time is a runnin' out.
I love it. Believe it or not this is a great problem to have. Too many people want to go and serve the Lord! Praise God. I will take this problem any time of the week. God is bigger! I can't wait to see what happens. Who's gonna step up and help us get a bus to bring this little guy toys?
Last night

THANK YOU Jesus for sending MEN to be your hands and feet!
For so long it's been the girls out there on the streets~
Women have outnumbered the men most outreaches for the past year!
Not last night!
The RAVEN team that assembled to take the food began with: my dad Reg, Henry, Luis, Brian, Marc, Pastor Rudy, Pastor Mike, Cole, Jon, Frank, Samuel, Rich, Josiah, Hez, Nick ... Sofia, Maddie, Cece, Deb and I got to go too~
Thank you to Pam, Gina, Karen, Teri for prayin us through last night!
Because there were so many men willing to GO last night I believe it wasn't a coincidence that there were more men receiving the food alongside and without their wives, children. I really think that the men we are ministering too want to see all you men minister (not only the girls!). It's so important! I can't tell you how much I appreciate you all! You are an answer to a prayer!
Dear Jesus,
I lift up all these men to you that are without excuse. Yesterday was a full day of ministry. I am so grateful JESUS that you spoke to my dad and all these men to serve the little children of Roseland, Papago Ct, Apple Valley, West Ninth neighborhoods. I know they worked hard for their families by day~ but you wouldn't have known it by the joy on their faces serving YOU last night. Please Lord pour out renewal and blessings upon them this week as we give thanks to you for their willingness to go and be used to glorify you! In the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, in the name of JESUS CHRIST, AMEN.
Matthew 10:42
And if anyone gives even a cup of cold water to one of these little ones because he is my disciple, I tell you the truth, he will certainly not lose his reward."
ROMANS 8:37-39
In all these things we are more than conquerors through HIM who loved us. For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalitiese nor powers, nor thngs present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
From our morning devotional today~ it read: "When you're faced with hard times, it won't be your intelligence, your talents, or your perseverance that will eventually ensure your victory. It will be God's love, working through you to keep you close to God's side and to help you rise above whatever has you down."
Praise God!
Pastor Rudy, I agree, no matter what, 'it's a fixed fight!'
Beloved, know that NOTHING can separate you from the love of CHRIST!
Not your past, nor your finances, not your circumstances, nothing (!)~ CLAIM IT, RECEIVE IT, RETRIEVE IT AND GIVE IT!
JESUS DIED FOR YOU!!!!
TAKE THE FREE GIFT!
DON'T LET ANYONE OR ANYTHING KEEP YOU DOWN~
NOTHING! NO ONE! NADA!
Seek GOD in every situation~ wherever you are~ on the street, in church, at work, at home, at school~ wherever (!)
amen.

Pastor Troy D. Bohn
Nov 20, 2006
Steven Leinen, the fifteen year old brother of Raven Amarillo’s Big John Leinen, is doing much better. While he is still in ICU, they have stabilized him and have found out the source problem of his failing heart.
Will be part of taking $10,000 worth of Thanksgiving Food across neighborhoods in Sonoma Country tonight! Go Jesus! Pray that this will be an effective tool in taking the REAL FOOD—which is the Gospel of Jesus Christ---into many of the homes in the surrounding area. They are expecting to provide food for over 600 FAMILIES—that is an estimated 3,000 people having groceries provided for them tonight---and 3,000 testimonies being made in the process! Go Jesus!
Pastor Lance & Leigh Prathaftakis will be leading the team into the Washington Garden’s Housing Project this week to serve food and JESUS to the many that come out to the regular events in this very at-risk neighborhood. Pray for a breakthrough into the many who are involved in the local drug and gang activities that they might be changed and transformed by the love and Word of Jesus. Hey, if God can take and use a murderer (Saul) and make him into an Apostle (Paul) then nothing is impossible! Go Jesus!
Pastor Don Eskine and Pastor Thomas Derrick will once again be leading their team into New Orleans’ “French Quarter” this weekend. They have been seeing a great harvest as they continue to feed and minis ter to the increasing homeless population and witness to the many that are once again flocking to Bourbon Street and the French Quarter. Go Jesus!
Pastor Alex & Holly Hill will be taking a team from New Horizon’s Church to the infamous “Sixth Street” in Austin, Texas this weekend. This is a TOUGH area that is inundated with the New Age, Secular Humanism and a general disinterest in the things of God. Pray for them as they toil in the soil of souls this weekend. Go Jesus!
Are headed to NYC this weekend to witness and hand out a couple of thousand Bible to the “Black Friday” shoppers in Times Square. Pastor Meredith Lindsey will be making the flight in with a team from Fairfield and Pastor Sam Croghan will be bringing a team of 19-20 in for this tremendous ministry time in this Nations most populated city! Go Jesus!
Pastor Terry Shuff (Raven Midwest) will be joining me in London, Ontario Canada this Thursday –Saturday for the “Accelerated Impact Conference on Evangelism” as we look to impart and impact a whole new army of believers to take the Gospel to the Nations. Then we will be in Indiana on Sunday Night to minister at the “Crossings” in Goshen before returning back home on Monday. Go Jesus!

hi guys
Hi everyone. It was really good to see you all at the Bobby Chance fundraiser. I love you guys. I wanted to let you know about a killer message I heard at church last weekend. I think it was the best message I’ve ever heard pastor Dan deliver. He talked about how the church does not exist for its own benefit, and how the people of the church are all called to GO!!! It was so great. If you guys want to hear the message for free online go here:

Hospital charged in alleged patient dumping on Skid Row
POSTED: 5:49 a.m. EST, November 17, 2006
LOS ANGELES, California (AP) -- In an unprecedented crackdown on a practice experts say is shamefully common around the country, a major hospital chain was accused by prosecutors Thursday of ridding itself of a homeless patient by dumping her on crime-plagued Skid Row.
A surveillance camera at a rescue mission recorded the demented 63-year-old woman wandering around the streets in a hospital gown and slippers last March.
In announcing the criminal and civil charges, City Attorney Rocky Delgadillo said a Kaiser Permanente hospital put the woman in a taxi and sent her to the neighborhood even though she had serious, untreated health problems.
"Kaiser Foundation Hospitals, part of Kaiser Permanente, the largest HMO in the nation, will be held accountable for violating state law, its commitment to its patients, its obligations under the Hippocratic oath, and perhaps most importantly, principles of common decency," Delgadillo said.
No U.S. hospital has ever been prosecuted on criminal charges of patient dumping, said President Bush's homelessness czar, Philip F. Mangano.
Mangano, executive director of the U.S. Interagency Council on Homelessness, said patient dumping is a widespread practice. "We need to hold hospitals accountable, but also work with them to resolve these issues," he said.
Kaiser's Bellflower hospital, which discharged the woman, is among 10 Los Angeles-area hospitals under investigation on suspicion of discharging homeless patients onto the streets instead of into the custody of a relative or shelter. (Watch the surveillance camera footage -- 1:04
)
The legal actions filed against Kaiser late Wednesday included criminal charges of false imprisonment and dependent adult endangerment, and civil claims involving the treatment of patients and laws on discharging them.
"They have violated every ethical obligation under which they operate and they have also broken the law," Delgadillo said.
Diana Bonta, vice president of public affairs for Kaiser Southern California, said the legal action unfairly demonizes Kaiser, which she said has taken steps to see that no more of its patients are left on Skid Row.
"It's a big disappointment," she said. "They're taking one isolated case and saying, 'This is what hospitals do.' In reality, hospitals are trying our best to take care of all people, including and especially the most vulnerable."
Kaiser could be fined in the civil case and see penalties including restrictions on its practices if convicted of the criminal charges.
Police have long suspected that medical centers and outside law enforcement agencies were using Skid Row as a dumping ground for the homeless. Skid Row already has one of the nation's largest concentrations of homeless people, in part because of its cluster of shelters and services to help them.
The woman found wandering on the street, Carol Ann Reyes, was taken in at the Union Rescue Mission. Its director, Andy Bales, said she continues to receive care.
for so many years...
I only thought about myself.
The lie was that I thought I was thinking about others~~
But in reality, I wasn't.
I was a really nice girl who lived in a really nice home and had a really nice family and went to really nice parties and dressed really nice and had a really nice church and really nice friends and a really nice education.
And all my really niceness has caused thousands of people to know nothing about JESUS.
Because I didn't think it was really nice of me to tell them about him because it was up to them to figure out and because I had enough to take care of for myself and my family to stay really nice.
Hmmm.
The trick of the enemy.
All this time I thought I was a really nice person... and to the little kids living 5 minutes drive away from my house who are hungry and cold and scared I in a really nice way did NOTHING.
And for my friends who were just like me living a really nice lifestyle I said NOTHING.
And now that I know better, I ask forgiveness JESUS because I realize I wasn't really nice allowing so many for so long to not know YOU.
And it's not a really nice feeling to know that there are so many really nice people going to hell.
And it's not a really nice feeling to know that there are so many really nice people who have watched me be really nice but are still hungry, cold, alone and desperate.
Please forgive me really nice people.
My really nice smiles aren't what are going to get you to say the words "JESUS, forgive me, come into my heart, I believe in YOU, thank YOU for what YOU did for me, let my life be used by YOU, thank you for forgiving my sins, AMEN."
And in a really nice way I ask you all to do better for the ONE who died for you in a not really nice death.
PLEASE don't waste 36 years like I did!
Nice doesn't even describe the feeling of being used by the LORD and an answer to a lonely, hungry child's prayer.
My niceness didn't get me a ticket to heaven or another person's to heaven. And being nice to so many but doing and saying NOTHING wasn't very Christian of me knowing so many people are going to hell... even the nice ones.
Don't let satan tell you otherwise.
IT'S NOT ABOUT JUST BEING NICE and HAVING A REALLY NICE TIME!
