Sunday Experience in Michigan

Today Eileen and I drove to our good friend and "Michigan Pastor's" church in St. Joseph, Michigan. (Assembly of God Global Outreach Center) Pastor Dan Miller's church is always a blessing! They preach the uncompromised Word of God and are also very active in getting outside the walls of the church. They also have an awesome praise & worship leader, band and choir.
We are in the process of developing a partnership with them and we will be working with the staff and the kids of the "Master's Commission" that will be coming in at the end of September. We look forward to going into Benton Harbor with them and winning the area for JESUS!!!
After church we grabbed a bite to eat then headed for Benton Harbor to scout out a new area that we had heard about. This area is said to have the highest crime rate and it sounds like a good place for us to set up at next week. While trying to find this area many of the churches were letting out and we stopped to ask for directions and information about the area. There are many churches in Benton Harbor and we were really trying to develop some relationships. We were amazed at how many "church people" snubbed us. We were in our ministry van and we figured that they would see that we are on their side and also would maybe want to talk to us about winning the area for Jesus.
I believe that many "church people" do not really care what is going on in their area unless it effects them. They have their "Sunday best" clothes on and are driving their big cars while people are hungry, crime is running rampid, gangs are trying to take over, and most of all, people are on their way to hell!! We have had churches ask us not to set up in their area because they sell food to the people and we would effect their business. We will never take a dime for anything that we take to the people. We tell them when they ask how much (I guess because they are use to "church people selling the food), we say "JESUS ALREADY PAID THE PRICE AND THIS MEAL IS ON HIM"!!!!! I am sure that there are good churches in the area and that we probably just hit 3 or 4 in a row that were more excited about getting to the fried chicken and mashed potatoes than talking to some evangelists from out of state about JESUS.
We did meet many kind people outside in their yards that were very helpful to us. We blessed them with chocolate chip cookies and other snacks and they were very thankful. Maybe we messed up by not offering the snacks to the "church people"?????????? Anyway, we told them to spread the word that we will be there to bless them with a good meal next Saturday!! PRAISE THE LORD!!!!

"FRIDAY NIGHT STREET CHURCH"
The night was awesome!!
The team consisted of Kim Dubash, Steve Ignowski and Eileen & I. We started in the Washington Garden Projects after not being there for the last two weeks. It was so good to see our friends again there. We were able to minister God's Word to many new people also in the area. We stopped by to see Pastor George Bostic of Deliverance Temple and the kids had already located us and were looking for goodies. We gave them kids snacks, chocolate chip cookies, pop, and juice. This little cutie (below) had her hand out wanting a "Jesus penny".
(Below) Eileen is with Stephanie, a mother of seven with no husband. We minster to her and her children on a regular basis. As is common in many places, there are not too many dads in the area.
(Below) Eileen plays with some of the kids of Washington Gardens. The kids love to see the RAVEN van coming down the road and we love to show God's love to the kids!!
After leaving Washington Gardens we headed for Louie & Kelly's parking lot. On arrival we found the parking lot loaded and people hanging around everywhere. Immediately the Lord gave us dominion over the area and many fell under conviction as we ministered to them. Steve and Kim ministered to a man that seemed very hard and he ended up weeping as they ministered God's Word. A regular named Julius fell under conviction as he saw the van pull into the parking lot. He tried to hide but I yelled out "Julius, Julius, how long are you going to let that devil run your life"?? Larry was wearing a shirt that had a huge cross on it and I immediately thought of Pastor Troy's comment to a cross wearing gentleman in Amsterdam where he yelled "hey preacher". I walked up on Larry and said "you must be a preacher with a cross that big" and Larry immediately fell under conviction. Eileen and I ministered to him for a long time and he knew that he was wrong and his party night was ruined. Walt asked if we would call RAVEN Anthong LeBlanc because Anthony had touched his life in a big way a few weeks ago. Below, Tianna with tears in her eyes dumps a 40 oz. in the trash can as she told us that we were telling her the exact same thing that her grandmother had told her recently. She said that us talking to her was confimation that God wants her to get her life in order and that she was all done with alcohol. PRAISE THE LORD!!!!!!
Kim and Steve tag team ministering to a lady that ended up coming back for more on Saturday.

We wrapped things up around midnight to prepare for Saturday's outreach in Elkhart with Jermaine Sanders. (Flow Fest) Eileen said that this night one one of the best in our soon to be 8 years in street ministry. We thank JESUS for calling us to be HIS servants!!!!
