He who belives will never die.
Young Men gave their hearts to Jesus at the outreach.
i went to Jose's funeral today. It was a bittersweet time for me. His life here has ended, but i know he is with the Lord. He was saved, he gave his heart to Jesus in January of 2006. This brings me great joy and comfort at his passing. Amen and PTL. Yet the troubling things still remain. Santa Rosa has surpassed San Jose in gang numbers and gang activity. Not a comforting statistic. Boys are turning to men in gangs all over Santa Rosa, and i need to do something. Without the outreach in January and dedicated men and women reaching out to these young men and women, Jose would be eternally seperated form God. i can't bear that, my heart breaks at the thought.
Watching these young boys and young men at the funeral i was captivated, as i usually am at their young and sometimes sweet faces. Some are boys really, 12, 13, 14 years old. They are lost for whatever reason, there are lots of them. The reasons do not matter. My part is to bring them Jesus, to bring them the Gospel message and pray for them. That matters. i a no stranger to gangs, i worked with them in San Francisco. They are all the same, God's children needing Him. i can't let them go to Hell because i did nothing.
Our RAVEN ourtreaches are lifesavers. This boy has eternal life because someone cared about him and his soul. It matters when we pull over for that one person on the street, it matters when we pray for that one passed out guy or gal on a SF street. It matters and it is a life and death decision they make. Keep reaching out wherever you are, God needs us to be His body in action. God bless you....
